What we do The purpose of the Manchester Art Association is:
  • To encourage growing artistic talent
  • To create and foster interest in all phases of artistic expression
  • To bring artists and art loving people together

We work toward these ends through lectures,
demonstrations and discussions of art at our

monthly meetings; member exhibitions;
workshops, classes and
open studios; and
donations of scholarships.

Basic membership in MAA is $30.00 per year.
If you are interested in becoming a member,
please print and send in the

Where to view our art

Winning artwork from our monthly "Art of the Month" contest are displayed at Mary Cheney Library, The Arbors, Webster Bank on Main Street, and Whiton Library on North Main Street.
You can find our art in these locations year round!

We have rotating, single medium exhibits at Manchester Town Hall in pastels, oils and acrylics, watercolor, photography and an exhibit for other media, the Etc. Exhibit. We also have an all member/all mediums exhibit in the spring with a reception which is open to the public.

We also have an ongoing exhibit located at the gallery at Manchester Memorial Hospital (the hallway adjacent to the hospital cafeteria, not far from the hospital's main entrance and gift shop).

Annually, members exhibit at South Windsor Public Library.

Visit the Gallery to see artwork by member artists and our Links page for MAA member websites, art resources, other art organizations and much more.
