Emilie Beckwith has provided her interpretation of a photo Normand Charlette took in 2012. Normand wrote: "The barn was located in Glastonbury on Hebron Avenue and shortly after the photo was taken I discovered the structures had been torn down, a fate suffered by many barns now due to neglect."

Joyce had two Handcut Paper pieces in the show: "Brisbane" (below left) and "Paul Reinterpreted" (no photo).
Laura had two pastels in the show (photos below middle and right).

The show was on view until Fri, March 15, 2019.

All mediums were represented in the show which had almost 250 pieces.
Laura wrote, "The Slater Museum in and of itself is a must see with its collection of sculptures and 19th century paintings."

Congratulations to MAA Members Normand Charlette, Donna McMahon and Debbie Galarneau!

At the April member meeting MAA member Normand Charlette once again offered his photographs to members for their artistic interpretations. He reports: "Be Inspired" night resulted in the selection of 21 photos for potential reproduction and interpretation. Three days later I received emails from Donna McMahon and Debbie Galarneau. They are twin sisters who each selected a photo and painted their interpretation in a joint session. Their emails arrived about ten minutes apart. The dog in the photo "What Are You Looking At?" is a water color by Debbie. The "Swan" photo was turned into swans by Donna in a watercolor using some krylon marbleizing spray on it and gold chiffon."
